Welcome to Race a Duck—where fundraising meets fun! I’m Nicole Taylor, the heart behind Race a Duck, a product of 3DI-Solutions, LLC. I am dedicated to helping nonprofits raise money through engaging, high-impact rubber duck races.
My journey with duck races began over 16 years ago when I stepped into a leadership role at an events and marketing company in Scottsdale, AZ. As Vice President, I had the privilege of partnering with over 80 nonprofits across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, helping them collectively raise millions through their signature event—the Derby Duck Race.
From overseeing operations, logistics, and budgets to crafting customized marketing strategies, I worked closely with nonprofit partners to elevate their fundraising efforts. My focus has always been on innovation—helping organizations transition from traditional methods to tech-driven strategies like QR codes, Meta ads, email marketing, and text campaigns. These modern approaches not only boosted revenue but also reduced paper usage, making fundraising more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Now, with Race a Duck, I’m bringing this expertise full circle, creating a streamlined, nonprofit-focused company that makes rubber duck races more accessible, successful, and engaging than ever before. My goal is to provide turnkey solutions—from event logistics to marketing support—so organizations can maximize participation and impact without the stress.
Outside of duck racing, you’ll find me with my husband, Steve, and our three rescue dogs—Gunner, Bear, and Loki. Whether we’re hiking, exploring new destinations, or simply enjoying a quiet beach, these moments inspire my passion for helping nonprofits achieve their goals.
